conference weekend

General Conference weekend is always exciting for me. This General Conference was especially exciting. It brought back incredible memories and feelings for me. Six months ago, as our church held General Conference, I went into labor with Cooper. I went into labor during the saturday evening Priesthood Session. Cooper was born just a couple hours before Conference started on Sunday morning. I remember having the television on in my recovery room trying to listen to our new prophet speak while nurses came in and out of my room. I was so preoccupied with my new baby boy (who was in the nursery with his daddy), but also had a strong desire to hear messages from our prophet and apostles. It's amazing how much life changes in just six short months....

Because of this nostalgia, I was more excited for General Conference this weekend. As always, it was amazing, uplifting, inspiring, rejuvenating and invigorating! I have a renewed sense of who I really am and what I should be doing with my life! I feel so much hope, peace and love after hearing from our prophet and apostles. My testimony of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints has been strengthened. The many talks were amazing. The counsel that was given was obviously inspired from our loving Heavenly Father. I felt like so much of it was just for me. My favorite part of the entire weekend was the children's choir. I was so overwhelmed with emotion when I heard those children sing. Absolutely angelic!

I didn't want this perfect weekend to end. My family joined us in between sessions on Sunday for lunch. We watched the afternoon session together. After my family left, we went on a drive up American Fork Canyon. It was gorgeous! The leaves were so many different beautiful colors. The weather was perfect. I wanted time to stand still today. I know that the busyness and chaos of life will continue tomorrow, but for today everything was perfect!
