"Oh great" I immediately said into the phone, "You don't want to know what I've been doing."
"Let me guess...eating McDonald's? A Donut? Drinking a Red Bull? What?"
Usually she is my guilty conscience about eating. I have a problem with food as well, but that's a whole different story.
"No!" I shouted. "I would never eat those horrible things!" {I may not have said that}. "I've been out spending money like crazy. I'm not sure what's gotten into me, but I've got to stop.
"Guess what I got?" I continued to spew out all the awesome things I bought. As I started to tell her about all my cute Halloween decorations and my dilemma about the perfect Halloween banner I hadn't found yet, she
"Why don't you just make it?"
"Oh sister. We've gone over this. I don't sew. I have three boys. It's so much easier just to buy things." I gave her all my lame excuses. But then, she sent me these pictures and I knew I had to roll up my craft sleeves and get busy.
I do have a creative side in me that is just dying to get out, but I oppress it with all those lame excuses. Or, I'm just too busy eating food that's not good for me. Either way, it took me a couple weeks, but I finally got my sister to post her amazing tutorial for her Burlap Bunting Banner. She's now making a "Give Thanks" one. Check out the tutorial {and my adorable niece} here.
These are pretty cute too....just burlap and hemp.
In my defense, I had already spray painted my Halloween stuff before my sister one-upped me with her "Boo" Banner!
Who wants to make a banner with me?

I would love to make a banner with you. It is so cute! I want more Halloween decorations, but I don't want to spend the money. Making them would be fun!! Maybe you could make those for the make-it and take-its in december!!! Maybe a cute christmas one!
This is why I like you Britt. Well, among other reasons I guess:)
i wish I was there to make this with you. Do you remember the Halloween banner and pillow I made for the prizes at the Halloween party last year. I posted a picture on my blog so I would remember to make one for my self this year. yeah, thats not going to happen. It was totally easy though.
