dear santa...

Dear Santa,

I know I shouldn't be reading your mail, but I couldn't resist.  My son asked me why you didn't pick up his mail last night and I actually laughed out loud.  I couldn't think of a good excuse.  He then proceeded to make excuses for you.  Thank goodness my 8-year-old, who is smarter than me, still wants to believe in you.  I really hope you choose to be pen pals with my son because I can't wait to snoop in the mailbox and read more of his letters to you.  This one melts my heart.  Please don't share this letter with anyone else.  Payton pretends to be super macho and cool.  This would not go over well with his uncles and friends.  We don't need them teasing him.  Thank you for your understanding.

Love,
Payton's Mom

P.S.  How are you going to respond to the baby sister request?

That is the cutest thing ever. I was sure it was Parker's until I saw Payton's name at the end. I like his idea of a baby sister.

Wow, Payton is awesome! He would be a GOOD big brother to a little sister or another brother!
P.S. Do you have an announcement?

that is so cute. once we got older, my mom framed some of our letters to Santa as part of our christmas decorations. I think you should frame this!

That is so cute!! Love it! I thought maybe you were using this as a lead in to an announcement, but I was wrong. Ashton wrote a letter to Santa and I put it in the magic bag we got from make-it and take-its last year...then Santa takes it and leaves the kids a note...just a thought!!

Okay.... now I'm just making up for the lack of comments on my part lately. Ask Payton if he wants to be my pen pal... no really that would be so much fun. I'm serious about this. I guess I will have to write him a formal letter request for that. And what is a zoo zoo pet? Head phones really? I have like 10 sitting around my house somewhere. And I have to agree with the baby sister part. Payton is a true believer so Santa must make this happen ;) Come on Santa! I love how he is like 'I'm pretty sure you will hope to hear from me some (soon?)' .. that is totally Payton haha.

P.S. I'm pretty sure you will hope to see another comment again from me soon.
