valentine's day

Valentine's Day is not really a "lovers" holiday when you have little kids. It's more of a Class Party/Exchange Valentine Cards with friends day. Which is totally fine with us. Tim hates Valentine's Day anyway. He thinks that he's such a "hopeless romantic" that he doesn't need commercialism dictating when he will give his woman flowers or chocolates. I think he just uses that as an excuse to get out of celebrating the holiday.  I love any excuse to celebrate.  Either way, we always have a traditional Valentine Breakfast complete with red food and gifts for the kiddos.  Then we send the boys off to school with their Valentine's to exchange and I make last minute preparations for class parties.

We did some fun Minute To Win It games in Payton's class this year.  The kids had a lot of fun!

Check out my friend's "daughters" box (pretty sure she did all the work)...name the movie?!  Loved it!

After a long day of entertaining kids and sorting through all the love notes after school, Tim, the hopeless romantic that he is, succumbed to the holiday and surprised me with some yummy perfume and this sweet gesture.  Ahhh, maybe it is still a "lovers" holiday after all!
