jones family christmas party

If you've been reading my blog for awhile now, you should know what to expect when I mention a Jones Family party. Amazing invitations and an incredible party that always ends with a bang! That is exactly what we got at the Jones Christmas Party this year.

It all started with a chinese take-out box in the mail. We were eating at a chinese restaurant this year and I wondered how they could possibly tie this into Christmas, but they did.

Inside the box we found the invitation which read, "We are FORTUNATE to get together..." Of course the invitation makers are always so creative!

We ate at The Joy Luck Restaurant in Sandy. It was so yummy! My favorite was the tangerine chicken. They had a HUGE banquet room, which was perfect for our large family.

The children were so excited when Mr. and Mrs. Claus showed up. Parker loved watching Mr. and Mrs. Claus with all the other children, but was hesitant when it was his turn. Santa told him to make sure he doesn't spend so much time playing video games (love it!)

Payton knows the routine by now and was more than happy to sit on Santa's lap and chat about what he wanted for Christmas. He told Santa that he would be happy with anything for Christmas. Lucky us!

This was Cooper's first time seeing Santa Claus. His reaction was priceless...

I was surprised that he didn't cry at all, especially because he was exhausted!

The ladies always do "Make and Takes," so I always leave with a ton of fun stuff.

This year the party, for us, literally ended with a BANG! After leaving the party, we were headed over to Tim's parents house for the after party. As you know, every awesome event has an after party. On our way there, we were hit from behind on the freeway. Everyone had come to an abrupt stop. The car behind us stopped. The car behind them did not. The driver was going too fast, lost control, could not stop and hit us. Luckily, everyone was okay. Our kids were not too scared. Cooper did the most crying. Tim's parents were just behind us and saw us on the freeway. They took the kids home with them. The scariest part was waiting on the side of the freeway and hoping that someone else didn't lose control and come crashing into us. As you can see, our car (with only 6,000 miles on it) is banged up pretty good. We are just grateful to be safe and grateful that the person who hit us has insurance.

Wow, looks like fun! I wonder how many hours the Jones' family party planners put into these parties. Wow! That's all I can say.
Glad you are ok from the car accident. Yikes!

Wow and oh my gosh all at the same time! I love the party theme - the Jones fam never stops being amazing with all the great ideas. Sorry about your car, but I'm glad it was the only one that got hurt! I HATE that!
