master suite makeover

If you read this post, you'll know how this all started!  You'll also know that Tim tried to encourage me to wait until after Christmas, but I just couldn't.  I picked up the paint on Tuesday and 9 hours later my closet was painted!  Yes, that took forever, but I loved the way it turned out.  Naturally, I couldn't stop there.  Friday evening we finished up the last coat in our bedroom and by Saturday afternoon the room was complete.  Although I still have a wish list of things I'd like such as, chandelier{s} and a footstool, but it's complete for now!  Just 9 days after my first vision of what I wanted my room to be like it came together.

Here's the breakdown.  I got everything at IKEA with the exception of the paint.  The paint is a Martha Stewart Living color, but I used the Behr Paint with Primer because I've used that paint before and liked it.  We only had to do two coats and it covered the red perfectly.  I wanted to break this all down for my benefit and thought I would share all the details with you.

3 Pillow Shams........$15
Rug......$20

Grand Total......$285
{Thanks, Tim!}

I love it! So I have had a jar of bath salts like that in my bathroom for over a year and never found a scoup that I like. Where did you get yours? do you care if I copy? Melissa (im not putting an R. since Melissa C. already clarified with her last initial:)

beautiful! It is amazing what just changing wall color and a few accessories can do! I wish I had your vision.

I LOVE it!! And I need that hanger thing for my jewelry. I have a big jewelry box, but it just doesn't do the trick. I feel like I just watched an episode of Divine Design :) (I'm obsessed with that show)!

Looks great. Very cozy and warm. So I made those same Oreo turkeys. They were the first thing that popped up when I googled turkey cookies. Great new header, love the pics.

I had to come back and look at your room post, I LOVE it! I also just noticed that the "mirror" above your bed is not actually a mirror and that makes me love it even more! I love how you can turn around things in your house to make them brand new again. That is my favorite thing to do. You really need to start searching through the thrift stores... you will not believe the cool stuff you can find! Better yet, come to Fort Collins (The thrift store capitol of the world.. coined by ME) and let's do some shopping. Seriously, why don't you and the boys come visit.. next time Tim takes a trip here... PLEASE. Can't wait to see your room in person.
