new years eve

Since we pulled an all-nighter on the Eve of Christmas Eve with Crew in the hospital (see this post).  We cancelled our annual New Year's Eve party with family and had a simple family night instead.  We played Pepsi Pong.  My boys are always begging to drink Pepsi or Coke so in celebration of the New Year, I bought caffeine free Pepsi and we really partied hard.  Along with our "drinking" games, we played some video games and went to bed by 10.  Happy New Year!

merry christmas 2011

We had another successful Christmas holiday!  I love that most of these pictures are blurry from all the movement, but it's a perfect replica of how Christmas morning actually is for our family.  The boys were spoiled, we ran around like crazy, and Tim spent the entire afternoon putting things together.  Merry Christmas!

christmas eve

This Christmas Eve we started a new tradition (I hope). For the first time, in my entire life, we didn't spend every single second of our Christmas holiday at my Grandparents home. This was a hard thing for all of us to do, but we knew it was time to start forging our own traditions. We ended up having my family over to our house for simple appetizers and some fun. It was easy going and relaxing. The way holiday's should be, right?!

off track fun

This year the older boys were off track the entire month of December.  When we first got this track choice, I was terrified of having all the boys home during this busy time of year and especially during the time that I needed to get tons of things done!  However, I ended up loving it.  We got to do so many fun activities and it made me much more organized.  I felt like I was able to focus more on the spirit of the season instead of the busyness of the holiday.  We bought passes to our rec center and spent almost every morning at the gym.  The boys played basketball while I walked ran around the track upstairs.  That's what I call a win-win scenario!

christmas with siebenbergs

We always look forward to our annual traditions with the Siebenbergs. This year it was much the same. Yummy dinner, cute craft for the kids, gift exchange and lots of crazy kids and fun. We love our Siebenberg family and don't know what we'd do without them!

bergstrom christmas party

For the annual, Bergstrom Family Christmas Party, we did the nativity this year. Crew got to be the Christ child (for 2 minutes until he started melting down). Parker and Cooper absolutely loved that they got to be shepherds. It was a fun tradition that I hope we keep doing!

cooper's preschool christmas party

Have I mentioned that Cooper has the most amazing preschool teacher ever? She. Is. Amazing. I love her dearly and am so impressed with the amount of time, effort and creativity she puts into every single thing she does. Honestly, there is no way she is making any money at all off this gig. This little Christmas party alone was incredible! An added bonus is that Cooper really loves her too.

temple square lights

This mild winter was the perfect setting for a visit to Temple Square. Plus, it was awesome that the kids are out of school because we were able to stay out as late as we want and not have to worry about silly things like homework! After seeing the nativity, Christus and awesome lights, we headed over to Crown Burger for dinner. 'Tis the season!

post partum decision

What do you do when your baby turns four months old and you realize that you've had ample time to lose that baby weight and start taking care of yourself, but you look in the mirror and look exactly like you did the day he was born?

You take the one part of yourself those gorgeous-long-flowing-locks-of-beautiful-hair and completely desecrate it?  Like this...

More importantly, you don't even think about chopping off the only-good-thing-you've-got-going-for-you-at-the-moment-hair until your friend is just getting ready to cut. You know, just so you can traumatize both of you!  Luckily, if you have an awesome stylist like I do, you'll still end up looking decent and then take lots and lots of self portraits of yourself so that you can see just how chubby you still are and hopefully get motivated to actually lose some of that baby weight!

four months old

Our little Crew is four months old.  He's 25 1/2 inches long and weighs 14 lbs.  He is 75th percentile for height and 45th percentile for weight.  He is such a happy and easy baby.  He sleeps all night long!  He hates to be on his stomach so we're sure he's not going to be rolling around much.  Whenever, he rolls to his stomach he just gets mad.  He has the best older brothers in the whole world, who still adore him to pieces.  This kid doesn't get a moment to himself because he's always being loved on.
