I had another Dr. Appt today. I have still been having constant contractions. They haven't been getting more regular (when I'm laying down), but they have definitely been getting more painful. I have also felt like the baby has moved down quite a bit in the past week. I knew that things had been changing a bit so I was a little nervous for this appointment. Well...sure enough...my doctor verified that I have started dilating (1 cm) and thining out. This is still better than my previous pregnancies. I'm normally 2-3 cm & 90% effaced so I am feeling very lucky. However, he did a more thorough examination of the baby and said that
the baby is definitely down there. He was a little worried and decided to give me steroids to help the baby's lungs develop. He also told me that he knows how I feel about the term "bed rest" so he said that I should just go home and kick up my feet for the next 3 to 4 weeks. Essentially, I'm on "bed rest," but he said that I know my body well enough by now to know what I should and shouldn't be doing. They've already told me that I basically can't do anything except take it easy. So I'm going to try to keep this baby in here for at least another 4 weeks and just enjoy "kicking my feet up."

I update our blog on our pregnancy as well. Sounds familiar! Notice I am the first one to comment everything because I am also on "bed rest" and can't do crap! My sister in law called and asked if I had told you our dilemma becuase of your comment. lol. Good times!
Well, I just want to say that I wish I was on bedrest! You are getting so much done! I would like that much time to get things done. I loved reading all your new posts! Don't be ashamed of the fluffed rugs! I also love fluffed up rugs. I never thought of putting them in the dryer. I just like how they look after I shake the dirt off and vacuum them. First I need to get a dryer to make them looked fluffed up!! I am glad to hear that for the most part that the pregnancy is going well! Hopefully I can get some time off after you and Mahina have your babies to come up and see them. We are short at work right now, so it may be difficult! Take care through the rest of your pregnancy! We will see you guys soon!
Oh my gosh Brittany, I'm always jealous to look at your blog because of your over the top organization. I am so O.C.D. and think very alike when it comes to rug fluffing, closets with matching hangers and labels, decorative containers etc. I would love my house to look like yours and just haven't been able to come even close as a working mom/wife on a low budget. Oh well, at least I know it is possible now!
No matter what happens, it could always be worse...right? Congratulations on only being a little on bed rest. Try to take it easy, we need that little man to get stronger. See you soon.
Good Luck Britt! I hope that you can keep your little one in you as long as possible :) Enjoy the rest, because we all know that as moms...we NEVER get any ;)
Hang in there! You are almost done!! I'm still in awe over all that you are accomplishing around your house on "bed rest!" AMAZING!
I'm not on bed rest, heck I'm not even pregnant and I don't get half the stuff done that you do! Love the card jar idea, I also have a bulging file I can't seem to throw away, but aren't sure what to do with. Now I have a great idea, thanks! I am also a fan of David's on Idol. I hope he wins, and I also hope he goes on a mission, that would be awesome. Hang in there, sounds like you are getting close to the finish line. With each of my pregnancies, I always thought when I got too uncomfortable, how much easier my babies are to take care of while they are inside my body verses outside! From one rug fluffing fan to another, I love your blog!
I love the card idea and you're right it's a cute decoration too. Man I haven't had those Lion House rolls forever. I love, love, love them. Maybe I'll have to make those Sunday for dinner. Hang in there with the pregnancy. I guess this is something you're used to. I'll keep you in my thoughts and prayers. Best of luck on bed rest.
we are so glad to hear that you might make it a few more weeks this time. Please let us know if you need anything! About the rugs. I too love a fresh rug. I love it so much that I make Darin (Gibby) move the rug before he gets out of the shower so it stays fluffed as long as possible. (We step onto a towel instead) So you are not alone!
That is so hard, especially for someone who seems to like to keep busy. If I can help in anyway, I'd love too. I work during the day unfortunately, but if you need help in the evenings if Tim is away, I hope you feel comfortable enough to call and ask. Take care, were praying that baby stays put for 4 more weeks, at least!! :)
I wish I was as organized as you, I always have the desire to be I just never actually do it. Well enjoy relaxing the next few weeks. I don't know about you but all I keep thinking is how am I going to do three kids?..so as much as I want the next three months to go by fast I am also trying to enjoy everyday when the baby is safely inside my tummy and I still know what I am doing!
